Cycling discipline : Road and Track
Did you do any other sports before Cycling : I used to take part in horse riding when i was younger, and for school i often run in the cross country competitions (which i do enjoy) but they have all just been for fun.
How did you get into cycling : I got into cycling through my Grandad he was a keen cyclist and took part in the local time trials! He used to take ┬áme down to a grass track race night in Carlisle every Monday after school! I loved it,and told him i wanted to take up cycling, so for Christmas he bought me my first road bike and i have never looked back from there…
Time in competitive cycling: 3 years
First competitive bike: Trek
Favorite circuit: 2013 road national championship circuit – Blackpool prom!
What is the hardest race you’ve ridden so far: Has to be Omloop van Strijen, a race i did in Holland with talent team at the start of the year. It was the first race i had done in Holland and it was so much harder than races in the UK !! it went straight from the start and split up, the wind was terrible.
Favorite training ride: I love the roads near me, there is a different ride to do every week! my favorite ride has to be up a long drag called the banks not far from my house, and then of into the hills! (always have the best views)
Favorite most inspiring Sports personality: Marianne Vos!
Any hobbies/interests outside of cycling: I do like to go on the odd jog with my sister !
Do you have any hero’s, have you met them: not that i know of..
Favorite bands/artists: Arctic monkeys, Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran
Likes: My phone, and being with my friends
Dislikes: being in the dinner line at school.
